Parador de Ibiza opening 2026

The Parador de Ibiza (Parador de Eivissa) opened its doors on 10th March 2026. This eagerly anticipated addition to the Parador network was first announced 17 years ago and will be the first Parador in the Balearic Islands and the 99th Parador in the network.

This beautiful hotel sits atop Dalt Vila (Ibiza's Old Town and a UNESCO World Heritage Site) within the fortress of the former castle whose foundations date back to the 12th century. Painted a rich red, the Parador stands out against the Dalt Vila skyline and enjoys fabulous views of the town and harbour below. The Parador is located alongside Ibiza's Cathedral and the entire complex makes for a leisurely and interesting walk, we recommend stopping at the viewpoints to enjoy views of the harbour below.

On arrival at the Parador guests are greeted by a large, open patio which is cleverly shaded using suspended panels, allowing you to enjoy a drink or snack from the Parador's café at a pleasant temperature. The Parador de Ibiza's interiors are sleek and stylish, offering plenty of seating in well-lit communal areas featuring artworks by renowned contemporary artists, as well as the opportunity to see some of the original preserved castle ruins. Rooms are bright with comfortable furnishings and many enjoy sea views. 

The Parador restaurant is a peaceful space with muted, stylish decoration offering a range of local and international dishes, Ibiza being an island you can expect to see some delicious fish and seafood options on the menu. Guests are encouraged to relax in the Parador's seasonal outdoor pool or the excellent wellness area with plunge pool, jacuzzi and water fountains. For those who'd prefer to relax on the beach and swim in the wonderful Mediterranean waters, you have endless options of nearby beaches and coves to explore.

Ibiza has been known for many years as a popular holiday spot thanks to its good weather, wonderful, clear waters and relatively easy access from the island's airport and ferries from the mainland. Perhaps in the last 20 years known more for its buzzing nightlife and music scene, but recently more and more visitors to Ibiza are discovering the more peaceful and cultural nature of this beautiful island. In addition to its magnificent coastline, the quieter towns and the capital of Ibiza Town and its historic Dalt Vila offer plenty of opportunities to explore more of the island's cultural heritage through its historic buildings, museums and churches. The winding streets of Dalt Vila are filled with cafes and restaurants offering typical local fare, and wonderful views of the sea and harbour greet you around each corner. Of an evening, why not make your way down to the harbour and enjoy a drink?

Those looking for a longer break could enjoy a spot of island-hopping with ferries connecting Ibiza, Mallorca, Formentera and Menorca across various routes. Whilst Ibiza remains the only Parador on the islands for the time being, we do also work with European hotels across the other islands.
