An easier ride for tourists

The UK and EU governments have completely relaxed the rules for entry into and exit from the UK which had been complicating arrangements for British holidaymakers travelling abroad.

www.gov.uk states (as at 18/11/22):

For Spain:
From 21 October 2022, all COVID-19 travel restrictions for travellers to Spain have been lifted. The rules that previously applied to travellers coming to Spain no longer apply:

• you are no longer required to show proof of being fully vaccinated
• you are no longer required to show proof of a negative COVID-19 test
• you are no longer required to show proof of having recovered from COVID-19 in the last 6 months.
• you are no longer required to complete a health control form prior to travel.

For Portugal:
There are no longer any COVID-19 vaccination, testing or passenger locator form requirements for entry to mainland Portugal, Madeira and the Azores.

For re-entry into the UK:
You do not need to take any COVID-19 tests or fill in a passenger locator form. This applies whether you are fully vaccinated or not.
