A WEEK IN CANTABRIA AND ASTURIAS
11TH TO 18TH OCTOBER 2024: STAYING IN SANTILLANA DEL MAR AND RIBADESELLA
This is one of Lorna’s most popular tours travelling along the northern coastline. The 7 night holiday begins with two nights in the charming medieval town of Santillana del Mar, staying at either the Parador de Santillana Gil Blas or the Hotel Altamira, both of which enjoy central locations in the town. From here we shall continue to the lovely “Gran Hotel del Sella” on the coast at Ribadesella, a beautiful little town surrounded by sea and mountains.

FRIDAY 11TH OCTOBER: Fly to Santander and drive to SANTILLANA DEL MAR. Welcome dinner and and night at either the Parador or Hotel Altamira.
SATURDAY 12TH OCTOBER: Enjoy the lovely town of Santillana Del Mar, free night to dine at will. Night at either the Parador or Hotel Altamira.
SUNDAY 13TH OCTOBER: Drive to Ribadesella to the Gran Hotel del Sella. The hotel overlooks the Santa Marina beach, has a large outdoor pool and a spa with an indoor pool so plenty of opportunities for swimmers and there are scenic walks on the headlands nearby. Rooms here have river and mountain views. Dinner in the hotel.
MONDAY 14TH TO 17TH OCTOBER (inclusive): Enjoy exploring the charming town of Ribadesella and all of the surrounding areas and countryside. We will have 2 more dinners at the hotel and you have 2 evenings to enjoy some of the wonderful local restaurants and bars.
FRIDAY 18TH OCTOBER: Return flight to Dublin from Santander.
**If flying from UK airports it would be necessary to take a taxi the short distance to the hotels in Santillana del Mar***
